Board approves routine agenda items, plats and sets May 11 meeting

The Mitchell Planning Board began its meeting with routine procedural approvals, setting the next meeting date and moving through multiple plat approvals before adjourning.

Early in the meeting the board moved and approved the agenda and the previous meeting minutes by voice votes. The board then set its next meeting for May 11.

On land-division business, the board approved a plat from applicant Boyd Riemers to retain an existing house and create a new Lot 2; staff confirmed both resulting lots meet zoning standards for width, depth and coverage. The board also approved a three-tract plat involving Paul and Barbara Wilson, Teresa Wilson and Joan Yurke; staff noted the property lies outside the city limits but within the three-mile jurisdiction, and the plat met applicable county requirements.
