Morris Township board memorializes approvals for two variance applications

At their April 27, 2026 meeting the Morris Township Board of Adjustment adopted two memorializing resolutions confirming prior conditional approvals.

Resolution BA‑26‑25 concerns an application filed by Howard Messer seeking permission to modify a non‑conforming dwelling, including front‑yard setback relief and expansion of a non‑conforming structure. The board stated the application was "conditionally approved with our standard conditions;" no board questions were raised and the board approved the memorializing resolution on a roll‑call vote with all members present recorded as voting yes.

Resolution BA‑27‑25 relates to an application by Glenn David to modify an existing non‑conforming dwelling; the application sought relief for side‑yard, combined side‑yard and front‑yard setbacks and expansion of a non‑conforming structure. The resolution notes a condition that the applicant must obtain any necessary variance approval or waiver from the town of Morristown because the lot straddles both jurisdictions. That resolution was also approved unanimously on a roll‑call vote.
