At its April 28 meeting the Greer City Council took the following formal actions:
Ordinance 7-2026 (Second reading) — Annexation of property at 209 Windsor Road (Susan and Steven Davis); zoning assigned Suburban Neighborhood. Planning Commission recommended approval. Council roll call: unanimous approval. Outcome: adopted on second and final reading.
Ordinance 8-2026 (Second reading) — Annexation of property at 1471 West Wade Hampton Boulevard (Benjamin Use Jr.); zoning assigned Commercial Corridor. Planning Commission recommended approval. Council roll call: unanimous approval. Outcome: adopted on second and final reading.
Project 202616 — Greer City Hall interior renovation (contract award) — Staff recommended awarding to PNF Construction LLC for $127,999. After extended discussion about bid ineligibility and a required June 30 completion tied to current fiscal-year funding, council voted 5 yes, 2 no (Mr. Hopper and Mr. Lander opposed). Outcome: contract awarded to PNF Construction LLC.
Ordinance 12-2026 (First reading) — Rezoning of 202 Ford Street (McBuilt A Construction LLC) from Manufacturing and Logistics to Traditional Neighborhood. Applicant (identified as Sarah) said the plan is to subdivide into four lots for single-family homes. Planning Commission recommended approval.
