The Green Bay Plan Commission on April 27 approved several routine items and cleanup amendments and forwarded them to Common Council for final action.
JBS PD amendment: Staff presented a cleanup to the JBS planned unit development reflecting a land swap so that a parcel previously in the village of Bellevue is now within the JBS PD boundary in Green Bay. No members of the public spoke on this item and the commission recommended approval to the Common Council.
SRLI single-family permits: The commission considered three conditional-use permit requests to construct single-family homes at 1108, 1112 and 1116 South Broadway in the S-RLI (Special Residential Light Industrial) district. Staff noted these are midblock lots surrounded by a mix of uses and that the proposed footprints meet code standards; the commission approved each CUP subject to design variation conditions (materials, color and roof pitch must vary among adjacent units) and will forward the items to Common Council.
Habitat for Humanity sites: Green Bay Habitat for Humanity submitted six separate CUP requests for narrow midblock lots along Broadway and Chestnut (addresses listed in the agenda). Staff said site plans and elevations meet code and that several lots already have construction underway; the commission approved all six requests as recommended and will forward them to Council.
Next steps: All of the above items were recommended to Common Council for consideration at the May 5 meeting.
