Board passes three resolutions, approves credit-card services and moves to pay $1.1M in current invoices

The Gratiot County Board of Commissioners approved a set of routine but consequential business items including two legislative-support and local land‑use resolutions, a procurement change for credit‑card services, and authorization to pay invoices presented at the meeting.

On legislative action, the board approved resolution 26‑424 expressing support for House Bills 5152 and 5153 on a motion moved by Steve and supported by George. The board also adopted resolution 26‑425 to approve a proposed Harbor County zoning ordinance text agreement; that motion carried on voice vote.

In procurement, the board approved resolution 26‑426 to change the county’s commercial credit‑card services carrier from First Financial Bank of Omaha to a new provider; the motion was moved and seconded and passed.

Finance staff presented open invoices totaling $281,953 and a check register totaling $825,433; commissioners reviewed the detail and, on motion, authorized payment so the county can process payments the next day.
