Hampshire Regional budget approved in Southampton amid warnings of student support cuts

Voters at Southampton’s annual town meeting approved the Hampshire Regional School District assessment after an extended debate over staffing and services. Superintendent Veto Peron told the meeting the district has lost multiple educator and interventionist positions over recent years and that the proposed assessment is necessary to sustain student supports.
