Resident urges board to let girls’ wrestling coach continue after reported resignation

Tom Dolan, who gave his address during public comment, asked the board to table any decision about the girls’ wrestling program and to allow coach 'PJ' to remain with the team following what Dolan described as a resignation.

“I would respectfully ask the board to just table and let coach PJ continue with his coaching,” Dolan said. He said PJ has been the original coach since the team started and has mentored players through their high school careers.

Board procedure was explained to public commenters (time limits and restrictions on topics); the board did not provide a substantive response during the citizen participation time and indicated it may choose to respond later or in a different forum. No formal board action on the coach was recorded in the May 4 meeting minutes.
