The commission approved payment of two invoices from Coil's Lawn and Landscaping Services for mowing in Forest Canyon, each at the contracted amount of $675. The motion to approve those invoices passed by voice vote.
Following that action, a commissioner moved and the board approved a standing authorization for the commission president to submit and process Coil's mowing invoices for Forest Canyon properties through Dec. 31, 2026, with a per-mow cost cap of $675. The motion was adopted to avoid delaying contractor payment while preserving review of invoices at subsequent meetings.
On a separate maintenance item, commissioners discussed a request to clear and dry a retention pond in Forest Canyon. Contractor Excel reported a preference to delay until late June or July to allow drier conditions; commissioners asked staff to inspect the pond, obtain a firm quote for immediate work (and any premium for wet conditions), and report back before authorizing extra costs.
On lot sales, staff reported Lot 1 has closed and deed recordings are complete. The board approved a motion authorizing staff (Mandy) to request distribution of sale proceeds to Perry County entities as required (the discussion referred specifically to Perry County Memorial Hospital) as each lot sale is recorded, rather than holding proceeds for a later bulk distribution.
Commissioners noted positive assessed-value growth in Forest Canyon from recent new construction and asked staff to continue tracking lot-sales revenue and developer activity.
