Finance committee approves nearly $830,000 in weatherization contract increases

The DuPage County Finance Committee on April 28 approved amendments to three county weatherization program contracts to add funding and raise maximum contract amounts.

Member Schwarz moved the items and Member Heather seconded. The committee approved a $627,473 increase to the county contract with Healthy Air Heating and Airing (contract 77910001), bringing the not-to-exceed total to $807,473. The committee also approved a $101,206 increase to My Green House HVAC LLC (contract 77920001), amending the contract ceiling to $416,206, and a $101,206 increase to Arcos Environmental Services (contract 77900001), amending that contract to a not-to-exceed total of $236,206.

Members voted on each motion by voice; motions carried without recorded roll-call opposition. The amendments were presented as part of the Human Services agenda and were moved under HSP30A-25, HSP31A-25 and HSP6288-25 respectively to fund additional weatherization work and related services under the county program.

Member Schwarz emphasized the motion and the committee approved the changes; no public comment was recorded on the items. Staff did not detail line-item spending on the record; members could request additional budget breakout in follow-up materials.
