The Weatherford City Council approved two development items during its regular meeting.
Staff recommended and the Planning & Zoning Commission had recommended approval of a waiver to perimeter street improvement requirements for a 0.41‑acre minor plat on Calhoun Street (SBD 2017‑0057). Craig Farmer, director of development and neighborhood services, told the council the applicant is combining two lots into one and requested the waiver for Calhoun Street; council approved the waiver on a 3–0 vote after a motion and second.
Farmer also presented the preliminary plat for University Hills Phase 2, a 9.56‑acre portion of the previously approved master plat that will contain about 25 lots. He said the phase conforms with the master plan and that the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval 7–0. Council member Heidi Wilder moved to approve the preliminary plat, Dale Fleager seconded, and the motion passed 3–0.
Council members thanked staff and the applicant; Farmer encouraged council members to view recent fencing and new houses on the development. No amendments or conditions were recorded during the meeting.
