At its regular meeting the Linn County Board of Commissioners handled a series of routine administrative and procurement matters and recorded these votes.
The board approved the April 13 minutes and claims totaling $282,768.88; approved refunds totaling $76,626 (vouchers 2025‑0292 through 2025‑0296); approved a $1,750.09 overage that brought a track‑loader final cost to $31,861.78 for the Mound City shop; and accepted the single fuel bid from MFA Oil for county fuel purchases (55,000 gallons clear diesel at $3.79944/gal, 15,000 gallons dyed at $3.54294/gal, and 3,500 gallons E10 at $3.03348/gal).
In planning matters the board approved Conditional Use Permit CUP26‑01 for a small‑scale custom‑exempt butcher that will process livestock for owner consumption (no retail sales), subject to state registration, KDHE waste‑disposal confirmation and standard conditions limiting hours and traffic. The board also approved rezoning approximately 7.21 acres from Agriculture to Countryside to allow residential redevelopment of a property destroyed by fire.
Administratively, the board agreed to add Dave's Towing and Recovery back to the county rotation after the company satisfied county requirements, discussed distribution of budgeted funds to the Linn County Conservation District, and reviewed payroll‑service rollout issues and handbook distribution logistics.
All routine motions were approved by voice vote as recorded in meeting minutes; the clerk will process formal resolutions and paperwork as usual.
