Workgroup delays mediation scheduling for KPI 2.8 after missed outreach

The NAACP SDIRC workgroup opened on April 21 with an item to schedule mediation on KPI 2.8. The meeting convenor said they had earlier proposed April 28 but had not finalized or sent the draft email to Mr. Knox because of spring break and other responsibilities. "That is completely on me. I apologize for the delay," the convenor said, and pledged to prepare and circulate new proposed mediation dates that reflect the district’s availability and to send them to attorneys Harve and Johnson.

Workgroup members agreed to allow additional time to coordinate calendars, noting that the end of the school year and graduations will complicate scheduling. The group asked for patience while staff and attorneys exchange availability and set May meeting options; no vote or formal mediation was scheduled at the session.
