Hamilton Central board approves routine business: appointments, BOCES ballots, donation and senior trip

At its April 21 meeting the Hamilton Central School District board approved routine board business, including personnel appointments, BOCES ballot authorizations and a monetary donation.

Trustees approved additions to the substitute-teacher list (Thomas Boehive and William Stewart) and the substitute bus-driver list (Amanda Miller). The board also approved committee recommendations for special education and preschool special education and accepted a monetary donation from the First Baptist Church Deacons Fund, with a motion to increase the budget by the donation amount as recommended by the business manager and superintendent.

The board authorized the clerk to submit certified ballots for three seats on the Madison–Oneida Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) to be submitted to the BOCES clerk on April 22, 2026. The authorized nominations included (transcript spellings): Richard Englebrick/Angelbrick, Craig Brown and Patrick Baron; the board read and approved the corresponding resolutions.

Trustees also approved the proposed PACE schedule for faculty and staff and approved the Class of 2026 senior trip to Lake George June 22–23, contingent on meeting planning and safety requirements and with the board reserving the right to cancel if safety concerns arise.

The meeting moved to community participation later and then into executive session to discuss the employment history of particular individuals.
