The Pasco County Board of County Commissioners handled a run of public-hearing consent items after the mobility-fees workshop, approving grant and development items and continuing several land-use petitions.
On the consent agenda the board approved staff recommendations to allow the Pasco Sheriff's Office to apply for an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (P38). Amy Farrell, budget director with the Office of Management and Budget, presented the request and staff asked the board to authorize the chairman to execute required certifications.
The board also approved a development agreement with MB56 LLC to design, permit and construct a portion of Morris Bridge Road (P40) and authorized transmittal of a comprehensive-plan text amendment as recommended by staff (P39).
Multiple items were continued at the request of applicants to allow further community discussion about recreational facilities and other outstanding issues: P34 (land-development-code amendments) was continued to the May 19 BCC meeting in New Port Richey; P35 (a comp-plan amendment for a 4.93-acre property on Grand Via Boulevard) and P37 (a rezoning for an RV-resort MPUD) were likewise continued to dates uncertain.
Motions on the consent agenda were carried by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were read into the record for these items.
What happens next: Applicants who requested continuances indicated they would meet with community members before returning; staff will present continued items on the board's regular agendas at their rescheduled public hearings.
