At its April 21 meeting the Montgomery County Fiscal Court opened sealed bids for two facility projects and voted to table decisions until a special workshop on May 5 at 10:00 a.m.
Clerk Tom Charles presented two sealed bids for a roof replacement at 108 East Log Street. One bid described installing a 50 mm PVC membrane and performing a moisture scan with removal of identified wet installation at $8 per square foot; the lower bid was presented in the packet at roughly $127,759 (transcribed amount), and a second bid offering a 20-year manufacturer warranty and a Durass 50-mil PVC roof was presented at roughly $189,071 (transcribed amount). The court voted to table consideration of the roof bids and review them at the May 5 workshop.
The court also opened a sealed HVAC replacement bid from HMC. The HMC scope, as read at the meeting, included crane rental, lockout/tagout, removal of existing units and curbs, installation of a new rooftop unit (RTU), BACnet wiring and factory-provided control boards; the bid amount read in the packet was $62,829. The court voted to table the HVAC award until the May 5 special meeting.
No contract awards or vendor selections were made at the April 21 session. Court members directed that the roof and HVAC bids be considered at the May 5 workshop; the meeting record does not include staff recommendations or scoring details for the bids.
