Board approves small increase to 4K site provider reimbursements

The Stevens Point Area Public School District board approved annual revisions to the 4K site agreements for the 2026–27 school year, including a 2.63% increase in daily provider reimbursement.

Administration said the most substantive contract change raises the per‑student, per‑day allocation from $20.52 to $21.06, which it estimated as roughly a $3,000 increase per student annually. Staff emphasized the district has tried to align community site provider pay with employee benchmarks and that the change had been favorably received by site directors.

Sherry Stanchak, identified in the packet as the district’s early learning specialist, was cited as a contact for questions about implementation and minor language updates. The board moved, seconded and approved the contract revisions by voice vote.

Next steps: Administration will finalize contract documents and proceed with annual site agreements for fall 2026 implementation.
