Applicant describes Jaeger Hund taproom; council sends microbrewery permit request to committee

At a public hearing on May 11, Fred Hirsch, owner of Jaeger Hund Brewing LLC, described plans for a taproom brewery at 3521 East Lincoln Way in Cheyenne Plaza. Hirsch said the brewery will produce primarily lager beers brewed on‑site and will operate a small taproom with an occupancy near 100. He said the business would not provide full on‑site food service but may partner with nearby restaurants for snacks and a small bar menu.

Council members asked about the beer style and name; Mister Esquivel asked about the meaning of “Jagerhund” and Hirsch explained it is German for "hunting hound." No audience members spoke in opposition; the council referred the permit application to the finance committee for review.
