Committee reschedules Burrows amendment review and plans manufactured‑home co‑op site visit

The House Committee on General and Housing on April 17 agreed to move consideration of the Burrows amendment and a first look at universal‑design issues to next Tuesday afternoon, scheduling the discussion to follow the floor session. Committee members and the chair settled on an early‑afternoon time so counsel and stakeholders could return prepared.

Committee members also discussed and tentatively scheduled a site visit to a limited‑equity manufactured‑home cooperative in Colchester and Essex to inspect the state’s second‑largest such co‑op and possibly visit a nearby builder, New Frameworks. Members talked through travel times, committee lunch and a member’s offer to host a committee dinner, and confirmed plans for the site visit.

The committee adjourned for the day at the end of the session.
