Personnel and Administration Committee moves to close part of April meeting to discuss employee matters

The Personnel and Administration Committee of the St. Louis City Board of Aldermen voted on April 17, 2026 to close portions of its meeting to the public so members could discuss personnel matters.

The Chair proposed that "portions of the meeting of the board of alderman's personnel and administration committee be closed to the public under the provisions of 610.0213 0213 in order to permit the members of the committee to discuss matters related to the hiring, firing, disciplining or promoting of employees at the board of aldermen," and a committee member moved to adopt the proposal. The motion was seconded and, after a roll call, the clerk announced the motion was sustained.

Earlier in the meeting the committee moved to approve the minutes of its April 10, 2026 session; that motion was seconded and carried. The committee also recorded and granted an excused absence for the alderwoman from the 10th ward.

After instructing STLTV to place the session into closed session, the committee moved to adjourn; the motion carried and the Chair declared the meeting adjourned.
