Commission fills four tree board seats after multiple balloting rounds

The Brentwood Board of Commissioners elected four people to fill vacancies on the tree board during the meeting.

Balloting produced six votes for Lynn Tucker, five for Daniel Queen and four for Ashley Fitz in the initial round; after narrowed ballots and a subsequent round, Andrew Taylor received four votes and James Cullum two, producing the final four: Lynn Tucker, Daniel Queen, Ashley Fitz and Andrew Taylor. City Manager Jason Gage read vote totals aloud during the process.

Commissioners commented on the strength of the candidate pool and noted that one appointee is a licensed arborist, which commissioners said will be helpful to the board's work.

No contested motions or formal appeals were recorded; the commission thanked applicants and encouraged other volunteer opportunities.
