Pitkin County Board of Health re‑elects Greg Pochman as chair, Christa Gizel as vice chair

Greg Pochman was re‑appointed chair of the Pitkin County Board of Health on May 12 after members nominated and approved him by voice vote. The board opened nominations and a member moved to retain Pochman; another member seconded, and the chair called for those in favor, with members responding verbally.

The re‑election provides continuity as the board prepares for upcoming policy items, including discussions about the Healthy Community Fund. Jordana Sabella, who ran the election process, said nominees needed both a motion and second before the vote. The board also approved Christa Gizel to continue as vice chair; that vote was recorded as unanimous by voice.
