The Wilson County Planning Commission handled a full slate of routine land‑use matters after the Beck Haven Reserve hearing.
Key outcomes included: approval of a rezoning from A1 to R1 for Locust Grove Investments (approximately 3.19 acres) after staff said the request aligns with the county land‑use plan; approval of the Friendship Christian School site plan (48,000‑square‑foot addition) with a conventional septic TDEC permit; approval of a Golden Bear convenience‑store site plan on Murphy'sboro Road; approval of a Speedway parking expansion; approval of Centennial Roofing signage; and approval of multiple plats and subdivision actions (including the Denny property preliminary plat and the Meg Wright preliminary plat). Many of the approvals were recorded by voice vote on staff recommendations.
Ravens Crest phase 4 (65 lots) was deferred to the May 22, 2026 meeting at the applicant's request for additional due diligence. The commission also approved several consolidation and affirmation plats related to the Freehill development and other local subdivisions.
The meeting concluded with public comment on the county land‑use plan and a reminder that staff will schedule a work session on the plan before the next regular planning commission meeting.
