David Pina seeks one-year Westford Select Board seat, pledges support for schools and fiscal responsibility

David Pina, a candidate for a one-year position on the Westford Select Board, asked Westford residents to vote for him on May 5 and said he will prioritize support for the town’s schools, infrastructure and careful stewardship of local taxes. "Our school system is one of our many great accomplishments that our Westford residents are so proud of," Pina said, adding that maintaining that legacy is a priority.

Pina, who said he has lived in Westford for nearly 50 years, framed his long residency and community experience as the basis for listening to residents and addressing local needs. "If elected, I would start with listening and understanding the concerns and/or changes the residents of Westford would like to see," he said.

He also said he will focus on building the town’s infrastructure while being mindful of the tax impact on residents. On town finances, Pina emphasized "the responsible use and efficient planning of town finances," saying those are major concerns because they help the community grow and function daily.

Pina closed by reiterating his request for votes in the upcoming election: "So, please, I'm asking for your vote on May 5th to serve this amazing community."
