The Falls Church City Planning Commission voted April 15 to approve a final‑plat amendment that revises a sewer easement in the alley serving the 12‑unit Oak Park townhome development at 150 North Oak Street.
Henry Zang of the planning department told the commission the amendment is limited in scope and is needed to accommodate as‑built conditions: a manhole was constructed outside the originally approved easement, and the revised plat shows the manhole and a matching easement boundary. Zang said the change does not affect prior findings of approval and that the remainder of the subdivision approvals remain in force.
Commissioner Kinsky moved the staff‑draft motion that the commission find the application meets the applicable requirements of the city subdivision regulations (chapter 38) and the zoning ordinance (chapter 48) and is consistent with the comprehensive plan, and that the revised sewer easement on the final plat accommodate the as‑built conditions. Commissioner Duncan seconded the motion.
A roll‑call vote recorded unanimous approval: Mr. Pollinsky — yes; Mr. Duncan — yes; Mr. Stevens — yes; Miss Freedellander — yes; Mr. Kinsky — yes; Chair Kont — yes. The motion passed and staff thanked the applicant for attending the meeting.
Next steps: the amendment will be processed in the city’s record‑keeping for plats and easements; no additional approvals were recorded at the meeting.
