Los Altos City Council unanimously approved a tentative map on April 14 for 901 Fremont Avenue to subdivide an approximately 0.7-acre former Bank of America site into nine residential condominium units plus a common-area lot.
Associate Planner Jalia Lu summarized the Planning Division’s report: the site currently contains a vacant one-story commercial building and surface parking and was considered by the Planning Commission on March 19, 2026, which recommended the map unanimously. Staff recommended that the council adopt a resolution approving the tentative map subject to the recommended findings and conditions of approval and find the project categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act. The council voted to adopt the resolution and confirm the CEQA exemption.
No public speakers addressed this item during the hearing. The council’s approval advances the associated residential development project under the conditions presented by staff; further project permits and building approvals remain subject to subsequent planning and building processes.
