Board approves site plan for Maybe I Care Clinic at 1301 South First Street

The board approved a site plan for Maybe I Care Clinic at 1301 South First Street, a redevelopment of the former Perkins lot that burned down a few years ago. Staff told the board the parcel is zoned Highway Oriented Business District and that the proposed plan includes a clinic building with two future spaces to the north.

Staff said parking requirements are met, and that landscaping comments raised earlier have been addressed in a revised set of plans; the applicant must still meet all applicable building codes before receiving a permit. When a board member asked whether the project would reuse existing foundations or parking stalls, staff responded that some existing parking stalls can be used and that additional stalls will be added as the building footprint is shifted compared with Perkins.
