Selectmen ask attorney, insurer to clarify cattle‑liability language in Moose Mountain Bridge contract

A staff member said the attorney and Primex submitted suggested edits this morning focused on cattle liability and asked the contractor (identified in discussion as John Bear, vice president of BYAT) to review the clarifications. The board said the changes are not significant but necessary for risk management and that they expected a resolution within about two weeks, after which the contract will be signed.

Selectmen emphasized the revisions are intended to clarify responsibilities rather than alter the project scope and asked staff to notify the contractor of the status.

No final contract award or signature was recorded on April 7; staff will continue negotiations and update the board when the contractor responds.
