Council receives Mark Thompson�resignation letter effective April 6, 2026

At the start of the April 6 meeting Clerk Jackie read correspondence received that day: a resignation letter from Council Member Mark Thompson addressed to Mayor Ralph Ardo and City Manager Benjamin Gunderson. The text read to council stated that, "Mr. Valardo and Mr. Gunderson, please accept this letter as my formal resignation from my position as council member for the city of Milford effective immediately as of April 6, 2026. Due to personal reasons, I can no longer serve the community of Milford to the capacity it deserves. It has been a great honor and privilege to serve. Respectfully, Mark Thompson."

Council proceeded with roll call and the regular agenda after the letter was read; no council action to accept or contest the resignation was recorded in the meeting transcript.
