The Hamilton County Board of Commissioners received a presentation from an Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization representative, who said Hamilton County was awarded $6,000,000 for an intersection improvement project.
Introduced by the presiding commissioner as a special presentation from the Indianapolis MPO, the presenter—identified in the meeting as Grama Levick—told the board, “Hamilton County this year was awarded $6,000,000... for 146 In Grama Road intersection improvements.” She said the award is for fiscal year 2029 and congratulated county staff who prepared the application.
The commissioners and staff took a photograph to mark the award. No formal action was required from the board at the meeting beyond recognition and thanks to the project team.
The county will need to follow MPO and state procedures for project development and implementation; the presenter noted the application process is competitive and staff work is intensive.
