Community corrections staff presented three items for board approval and described why each was needed.
The director said of the monitoring agreement, “The maintenance agreement, is totaling $61,620 over the course of 3 years. It will be billed annually. They are a sole source provider,” and noted the three-year term locks in a negotiated rate after previously achieving a large annual reduction.
On strategic planning, staff said Justice System Partners would update a strategic plan last fully revised in 2019; the contract term was described as eight years and eight months for $35,000 to assist in development and implementation. On software, staff described an agreement with Feronix for 10 licenses to monitor real-time activity on participant computers, calling it a three-year agreement described in the packet as $250 over three years that yields a $50 savings relative to shorter terms.
Board members moved, seconded and approved each of the three items on voice votes. Questions included whether attorneys had reviewed procurement templates and whether any substantial amendments had been made to standard contract language; staff said legal review had occurred.
