The Chickasha Public School District Board of Education voted to approve a six‑month communications contract with August Resolve, a marketing contractor, covering two fiscal periods at $2,500 a month.
The Superintendent said the district needs outside help to “hone in and work on getting our message out” about academic, athletic and facility improvements. He told the board he contacted Cassandra Robnett of August Resolve and recommended a six‑month engagement so the district can assess results. “This is a 6 month contract. It is $2,500 a month, and this will be pretty all inclusive,” the Superintendent said on the record.
Board members noted the contract lays out phases and specific deliverables, which they said made the proposal easier to evaluate. One board member praised the clear scope and said the deliverables make the engagement “much more executable.” Members agreed a six‑month trial allows the board to hold the contractor accountable and evaluate whether the spending produced value.
Cassandra Robnett attended the meeting to answer questions and board members approved the two‑part contract on unanimous roll call. Staff will execute the contract and report back to the board at the end of the six‑month period with performance information and suggested next steps.
