Council approves rezoning request for property at 2730 East Horseville Road

The Greenwood Common Council on April 6 approved Ordinance 2612, a zoning map amendment for property at 2730 East Horseville Road that was presented by sponsors Gibson and Cash.

Property owner Gary Woodmore told the council he sought rezoning from agricultural‑residential to commercial to align his parcel with the 2024 Greenwood comprehensive plan’s designation for the four‑corners area. A councilor noted several existing commitments associated with the site that would prohibit new commercial buildings and restrict specific uses; Woodmore said he understood those conditions.

After brief questions and acknowledgement that the commitments exist in the ordinance language and staff report, the council held roll call and recorded the ordinance as passing unanimously (transcript shows vote recorded as '9–0').
