Beer service approved for Smyrna Independent Merchants Association golf event

The Smyrna Beer Board on April 6 approved a special‑event beer permit for the Smyrna Independent Merchants Association’s “Bites, Bruise and Blues” golf tournament at the Smyrna Golf Course.

Vanessa Haley, identified in the record as vice president of the Smyrna Independent Merchants Association, said the event will begin with an 8 a.m. golf scramble and that alcohol service for the post‑play portion will be roughly 2–6 p.m. She said organizers will use wristbands to mark checked patrons and that at least two staff members have completed ABC licensing to verify ages.
