The IUR NIC reviewed a $100,000 application from GK (listed in the packet as Gak Anisa) to provide job training for 20 participants and place 14 into employment in hospitality, customer service, office, and child‑care roles.
Several committee members said the request is substantially higher than GK’s recent awards and asked staff to supply historical placement rates. "I was looking at past years and they're in the $50,000 range," a committee member said, noting the proposal may be scalable but the committee must balance limited CDBG funds across many applicants.
Staff said they would supply Charles’s updated program numbers and noted that some items requested (barrier supports) may not be HUD‑eligible; staff will clarify allowable uses and follow up on specific line items.
No motion or vote was taken on funding; the committee asked that outcome and placement data be provided before final decisions at the public hearing stage.
