The Administration & Finance Committee on April 6 voted to forward resolution 28R26 to the full board recommending award of the Stones Landing construction contract to DPI Construction Incorporated for $1,825,547.25.
The community development and building coordinator told the committee the project was authorized to go to bid by the village board on Jan. 5; permits that delayed bidding have been secured and trustees directed staff to add a permanent restroom to the scope. Bids opened March 26 and three proposals were submitted; staff reported that DPI Construction was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. "The funding for this project is coming from the capital improvement fund and the village has those funds available," the coordinator said, and staff recommended approval.
Committee members offered no substantial changes during the discussion. Staff said construction is expected to begin in late spring or early summer if the board approves the award. The committee voted to forward 28R26 to the April 20 village board meeting with a positive recommendation.
