The Richland County Board of Commissioners on April 7 moved through routine business, certifying the record of proceedings for April 2 and approving requisitions, a printer arrangement for the jail, travel for a commissioners’ subcommittee and utility permits for fiber‑optic and pole work.
A motion to certify the record of proceedings for April 2 was moved and seconded and commissioners signaled their approval. When the board discussed a proposed new printer for the jail, staff said the expense would be $54 per month and that the first 1,000 copies were included in that amount; the purchase was described as covered in the contract services line item and the board approved the requisition.
The board also approved a travel request for the commissioners’ annual subcommittee meeting in Westerville and granted utility permits for fiber‑optic installation on East Hummel Road at Settlement East and for replacing a pole on Orchard Park Road. All motions were approved by the commissioners present. The meeting adjourned at 9:44 a.m.
