The Germantown School District Board approved a suite of technology and facilities recommendations on March 17 recommended by the finance and buildings & grounds committees.
Finance moved forward a lease‑purchase agreement to acquire Chromebooks for students through BDJtech with four‑year financing and recommended a separate purchase of 180 touchscreen library Chromebooks, corresponding Google licenses and charging carts. The board also approved membership in the Wisconsin School Nutrition Purchasing Cooperative to improve food‑service pricing.
Buildings & Grounds recommended—and the board advanced to finance—a project to install standardized monument signs at several elementary school sites and the district office, with a project estimate of approximately $117,476 and a note that additional electrical costs to power sign displays will be brought to finance. The board also approved a resurfacing of the Germantown High School main gym floor at an estimated $89,875 funded from the capital improvements budget (Fund 41).
The projects were presented with funding sources and next steps; finance will return final contract and any incremental electrical pricing to the board before work begins.
