County officials highlight workforce efforts: American Navigator and BowlingGreenWorks show multi‑year placements

Warren County Fiscal Court received updates March 12 on local workforce efforts, including the American Navigator program and the BowlingGreenWorks initiative.

Brian Becker of the South Central Workforce Development Board described the American Navigator program’s four‑year run and introduced navigator Alexa Hatcher, who detailed services for job seekers and employers: resume help, interview coaching, transportation and childcare assistance, pre‑screening for employers and ongoing coaching for clients with language or other barriers. Hatcher said the program helps employers recruit and supports job seekers with individualized navigation.

Jason Hein presented numbers for BowlingGreenWorks, reporting roughly 11,000 job applications submitted in 2025, nearly 3,000 jobs filled that year and 8,371 total jobs filled since the program began. Hein said the hiring rate reported by surveyed employers rose from about 17.6% (2024) to about 25.5% (2025). He outlined plans to grow employer participation, build a digital resource center and target additional professional‑level opportunities in partnership with the chamber.

Court members praised the programs and indicated continued financial support based on results presented; presenters encouraged residents and employers to use the online resources at BowlingGreenWorks.com.
