Dr. Walsh praises student casts and crews after district musicals

Dr. Walsh opened the Bethel Park School District minute by congratulating students and adults involved in recent theatrical productions, calling the shows “spectacular.”

She singled out performances at the intermediate middle school and the high school, saying the IMS production of Footloose and the high school staging of The Little Mermaid showcased student talent both onstage and behind the scenes. “They were spectacular shows, joyful and replete with amazingly talented performers,” Dr. Walsh said, adding thanks to the directors, production staff and volunteers who supported the events.

Dr. Walsh emphasized the role of adults who helped make the productions possible through direction, production and supervision and encouraged the community to celebrate student achievements in the arts. She closed the brief update by wishing listeners a good week.
