City outlines plans for Envision Carson and Carson Triangle to add more than 1,300 homes

Mayor Lula Davis-Holmes said the City of Carson has negotiated to transform two sites along Avalon Boulevard into large mixed‑use neighborhoods, promising more housing and public open space.

In a program segment outlining the projects, Davis‑Holmes said Envision Carson at 21207 South Avalon Boulevard “will deliver over 1,000 new homes, including 351 townhomes and 764 apartments,” alongside roughly 10,000 square feet of restaurant space and more than 111,000 square feet of publicly accessible open space. Immediately across the street, the Carson Triangle project at 21212 South Avalon Boulevard is expected to add about 315 homes, including 283 townhomes and 32 low‑income rental units.

The mayor framed the developments as transformational infill that will provide “housing opportunities for everyone,” and said the city is negotiating with a respected developer to finalize plans. She described the projects as part of a coordinated push to increase housing supply while adding commercial and public‑use amenities.

City officials did not announce final approval actions or specific project timelines during the program. Davis‑Holmes said the developments are expected to be completed within a multi‑year horizon but did not provide firm completion dates for either project.
