Commissioners approve routine agenda items, permit and bridge advertising; executive session held on wastewater union negotiations

The Richland County Board of Commissioners handled several routine agenda items March 26, voting to certify the March 24 record of proceedings, approve requisitions and the weekly additional appropriation, and to approve a utility permit application from Charter for cable installation on Horning Road.

The board also approved bundled child-support board contracts with domestic court and the sheriff and authorized advertising for the Maran Avenue bridge replacement. The recorded estimated construction cost for the bridge replacement was stated as $1,013,610; commissioners requested the project identifier (RIC CR 146-0.04) and said staff will follow up to identify the bridge location in project records.

The board recessed for a scheduled executive session at 10:30 a.m. to discuss union negotiations relating to the wastewater treatment plant (HR and wastewater director were present). The board reconvened at 10:40 a.m., reported no action was taken in executive session, and adjourned the meeting.
