Votes at a glance: Hutchinson Clinic testing approved; consent agenda and planning cases pass

Summary of formal actions taken by the Reno County Commission on Sept. 8:

- Hutchinson Clinic testing pilot: Motion approved to fund a four-week community asymptomatic testing pilot (approx. 250 tests per week) from CARES Act or county COVID funds and return with results in three weeks. The motion was moved by the Chair and seconded by Commissioner Hurst; staff will report test results and supply availability.

- Consent agenda: Approved. Item A: vouchers in the amount of $368,484.20; Item B: several change orders related to the 2020 appraisal process.

- Planning case 2020-06 (Yoder 5 LLC / Yoder Metal): Commission approved the conditional use permit to expand a metal roofing production facility with the staff-recommended conditions and the waivers noted in the staff report.

- Planning case 2020-07 (Cheney Lake Storage LLC): Approved a conditional use permit to expand an existing storage facility, including phased construction, perimeter fencing and conditions addressing setbacks, lighting and well/drainage requirements.

- Holiday schedule 2021: Approved the commissioners' holiday schedule for 2021 as presented by human relations staff.
