HLC moves two agenda items to end; introduces two new commissioners

During routine agenda management, the Historic Landmark Commission moved two items — the certificate of appropriateness request for 1700 Reynolds Street and the after-the-fact parkway case for 805 Austin Drive — to the end of the agenda so staff could try contacting absent applicants.

After procedural motions the commission approved the consent agenda. The commission then introduced two newly seated commissioners: Alex Ruiz, who identified himself as working in commercial real estate and expressed a commitment to preserving local history, and Kelly Blau, a retired Sunset Heights resident who said she previously served on the commission.

The meeting recessed briefly for staff to call applicants and later reconvened; the commission subsequently adjourned without returning to the moved items during this session.
