At the start of the March 18 meeting the commission approved the consent calendar on a motion by Vice Chair Merker, seconded by Commissioner Cross; the clerk conducted a voice vote and the motion passed. No public speakers were registered on the consent calendar.
In his director’s report, Preservation Director Shawn DeCoursey told commissioners that the City Council is scheduled to review accessory dwelling unit objective design standards for historic properties on March 24 at 2:00 p.m., and that the item is expected to appear on Council’s consent calendar. DeCoursey also reported that the landmark nomination for the former Orbit Gas Station at 2240 Northgate Boulevard is currently on hold while Council staff and the property owner discuss remaining concerns; staff will schedule the nomination for a future Council hearing when those discussions conclude.
No commissioner questions were raised about the director’s items, and there were no public comments on unrelated matters. Chair Ambacher adjourned the meeting at 5:57 p.m.
