New Community Development Director Bradley previews General Plan workshops

New Community Development Director Bradley introduced himself at the March 31 meeting of the Camarillo Planning Commission and outlined early outreach for the city's General Plan update.

"We have started our community workshops for our general plan update. We've hosted two of them thus far," Bradley said, telling commissioners the first workshop was on March 24 at the library and the second on March 28 at the Camarillo Ranch House. He said staff is trying to reach a broad cross-section of the city, including families and youth, and encouraged residents to participate through the project website as announced at the meeting.

Bradley also told the commission that, because there currently were no items to place on the April 14 agenda, staff was likely to post no agenda and not hold that meeting. Commissioners welcomed Bradley and thanked him for taking time to meet with them before the meeting.

The report was informational; no formal action was taken. Commissioners expressed support and interest in continued engagement with the new director.
