Scurry County commissioner's court approves three budget amendments and $1.64 million in payables

The Scurry County commissioner's court approved three budget amendments and authorized $1,644,447.15 in accounts payable during a brief meeting.

Court staff introduced a certified revenue item tied to account 53196 related to a salvaged parks department vehicle and presented three budget amendments: one for the parks item and two for emergency medical services (EMS) equipment. "There's one certified revenue for 53196," the clerk said, describing the parks vehicle salvage that prompted the amendment. The clerk said the EMS amendments fund purchases approved previously by the court and come from the county's Texas class capital account, including transfers of $18,000 and $31,437.77 for EMS equipment.

A commissioner moved to approve the budget amendments; another commissioner seconded the motion, which the court approved. "I make a motion to approve the budget amendment," the commissioner said during the vote.

Court staff then presented accounts payable for payment.
