District recognizes teachers and elementary principal of the year

Cache County School District recognized teachers and an elementary principal at its March 19 meeting.

Principal Bardett Bagley presented Jeremy Wells as Ridgeline High School’s teacher of the year and praised his work with the marching and jazz bands; Bagley noted Wells is transferring to the new middle school, Maple View, next year. Principal Ryan Webb presented Craig Day as North Cache’s teacher of the year, highlighting his Spanish instruction and classroom engagement. Charlotte York was recognized as Heritage Elementary’s teacher of the year; Lance Robbins and others praised her impact on student achievement and culture. Melissa Howser, Nipley Elementary’s fourth-grade teacher and school safety specialist, was also honored. Finally, Audrey McCuel presented Julie Payne as Cache County School District elementary principal of the year and noted Payne’s nomination at the state level.

Board members and staff thanked honorees for their service; no formal actions were required for the recognitions.
