Mayor: balanced but "lean" budget, foundation launched and volunteers needed for Rancho Palos Verdes

Mayor Paul Seo said Rancho Palos Verdes has a balanced budget but described it as "lean," warning that April–May goal-setting workshops will require tough choices about capital and general-fund spending for the 2026–27 budget year. The mayor directed residents to the finance page on the city website for transparency and said the city will hold a general-fund workshop on April 20 and a capital-improvement-program workshop on May 4.

Seo also said the newly formed Rancho Palos Verdes Community Foundation (transcript: "RPB Community Foundation") convened its first board meeting the night of the March 17 council meeting; he identified himself in the transcript as the foundation’s board chair. The foundation is intended to accept donations to support city projects.
