The Andover City Council authorized payment of $65,940.96 on March 31 to Tyler Technologies for the city's annual financial-management software renewal and recently added modules, including project accounting, accounts receivable and an employee onboarding module.
Matt Kane, the city's Director of Finance, told the council the city is entering its 11th year using Tyler's software and that staff have begun to expand usage for budgeting and reporting. "The software is working well for us. This we're entering our 11th year," Kane said, and explained the annual fee includes added modules and a training subscription called Tyler University. Kane said the cost is budgeted in the administration budget and the utilities will transfer their share for the portion used by the wastewater fund.
A motion to authorize payment for the annual license passed by voice vote (6-0). Staff will complete payment processing and continue integrating the new modules into budgeting and onboarding workflows.
