Carls re‑elected chair; Barry chosen vice chair of Dickson County Planning Commission

During the same session the commission elected officers for the coming term.

Jeff Chase nominated Robert L. Carls for chair and Todd Lindsay seconded the nomination. With no further nominations, Carls was re‑elected by acclamation. ‘‘That makes me the new chairman — same as the old chairman,’’ Carls said on accepting the nomination.

For vice chair, members nominated Todd Barry; Todd Lindsay seconded and Barry was approved by acclamation. The commission also agreed to retain the existing secretary by acclamation.

Why it matters: Leadership determines meeting workflow and sets priorities for agenda items such as the non‑residential character standards. The re‑election signals continuity in commission direction ahead of the planned April review of the draft standards.
